Current Needs
Mark boxes clearly if designated for specific programs, Health Education (Spanish or English), etc. Shipments may not arrive in time for your specific project. Take them with you.
Special Needs: We are constantly updating our "Wish List" for each country. If you have medical equipment to donate, please, DO NOT ship any equipment before receiving an OK from the MMI Pennsylvania Warehouse. Our experience has shown that equipment over 5 years old and inoperable equipment is not acceptable for donation.
Please contact Doug and Nancy Kelly or Nelson and Patty Nafziger at the MMI Pennsylvania Warehouse if you have medicines, equipment, and/or supplies to donate. Do not send eyeglasses.
The "Lab in a Suitcase"
A portable medical laboratory, the lab has been developed by Dr. Kendall Smith of International Aid, Spring Lake, MI. It is noted for its quality of construction and ease of use. This is a good project for a service club or Sunday School class that wants to make a significant contribution to the quality of medicine in developing countries.
Specifically designed for field use in medical missions, this kit consists of the following equipment and comes with supplies. A full description of the lab is on their web site:
Binocular microscope
Microhematocrit centrifuge
Hemocytometer
Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
Colorimeter
Urine centrifuge
