MGM general medicine clinics were held in Dominican village schools. Surgery was held in local hospitals. Eye projects were held in several larger towns. Dentistry was set up outside the clinic. March projects in La Ceiba, Honduras continued.

An MGM office was rented in the CMDS building and MGM continued to generate its own funds and pay all its own expenses. Cash flow was through CMDS, but accounting kept funds separate.

In 1984 John Shannon retired from MGM and returned home to Canada. Willie Hunter was named General Director of MGM.
